The Exotic of Mount Rinjani in Nusa Tenggara – Lombok
Mount Rinjani National Park is very representative of the mountain rain forest ecosystem types, low to high mountains and savannah in East Nusa Tenggara.

In addition, there is one endemic mammal species are raccoons Rinjani (Paradoxurus hemaproditus rinjanicus), there are also deer (Muntiacus muntjak nainggolani), ebony leaf monkey (Trachypithecus auratus kohlbruggei), pangolin (Manis javanica), birds cikukua horn (Philemon buceroides neglectus), forest dawah ( Ducula lacernulata sasakensis), black nape kepudang (Oriolus chinensis broderipii), and several species of reptiles.
In the valley west of Mount Rinjani, You can found Lake Segara Anak (2008 m asl). The Lake’s water smelled like sulfur, the temperature differs from one place to another. Lake area is approximately 1100 hectares, a depth ranging from 160 to 230 meters. In the middle of this lake appears a new volcanic mountains that are still active and growing.
Mount Rinjani is Indonesia’s third highest mountain (3720 m asl), save the mysteries of one of them about the presence of Goddess Enjeni. According to the local community trust, the Goddess is the Queen jin Enjeni ruler of Mount Rinjani. They believe that the goddess was born from the marriage of human Enjeni Sasak with the genie, beautiful and still descendants of King Selaparang. To honor the Goddess Enjeni, people often hold a religious ceremony on Mount Rinjani and Lake Segara Anak, by releasing small fish made of thin gold to Lake Segara Anak.
Beside of that, you can see one of ritual ceremony hindunese in lombok. This ceremony named with Mulang Pekelem Ceremony. This ceremony belong a big ceremony for hindu’s people. The participants in Mulang Pekelem Ceremony are not only from Lombok, but it also from Bali, Java, and Borneo Island.
