Approximately 7 km to the west of Kuta Beach, Lombok (not Kuta in Bali), there is one beautiful little bay called Mawun Beach. A beach with calm waves and still quiet, mawun beach at wedge by two hills and has clear and calm water with occasional small ripples of waves came. You can relax under the big trees in the shady side beach with views that are truly extraordinary. For you who want to sunbathe, beach Mawun well suited because it’s not too crowded, swimming or just relaxing with a float in the water also would be nice. Rinjani Route

Mount Rinjani National Park is very representative of the mountain rain forest ecosystem types, low to high mountains and savannah in East Nusa Tenggara.

Potential plant located in Mount Rinjani National Park, Such as Laportea stimulant, Aglaia argentea, Pterospermum javanicum, Ficus benjamina,Syzygium sp., Dipterocarpus hasseltii, D. imbricatus, eidelweis (Anaphalis javanica), and 2 species of orchids endemic Perisstylus rintjaniensis and P. lombokensis.
In addition, there is one endemic mammal species are raccoons Rinjani (Paradoxurus hemaproditus rinjanicus), there are also deer (Muntiacus muntjak nainggolani), ebony leaf monkey (Trachypithecus auratus kohlbruggei), pangolin (Manis javanica), birds cikukua horn (Philemon buceroides neglectus), forest dawah ( Ducula lacernulata sasakensis), black nape kepudang (Oriolus chinensis broderipii), and several species of reptiles.

Mulang Pekelem Ceremony

Mulang Pekelem Ceremony held once every five years. This ceremony belong a big ceremony for hindu’s people.  The participants in Mulang Pekelem Ceremony are not only from Lombok, but it also from Bali, Java, and Borneo Island. This ceremony is reflection from Tri Hita Karana Concept. The concept is based on to give a holy sacrifice to nature purged of evil forces and humans can live in harmony with the surrounding nature. Many disasters that happened in Indonesia lately, makes Mulang Pekelem Ceremony is important to held.

Basicly Mulang Pekelem Ceremony is a long journey that will tiring, time-consuming, mind, and extraordinary energy.  Because for three days they would climb up Mount Rinjani to the Lake Segara Anak, which is believed to be the spiritual center in Sasak Land.
