Sail Banda 2010 is Indonesian maritime activities held in order to introduce the beauty and richness of Indonesian sea to the international world. The event will take place on July 12 to August 17, 2010. Sail Banda followed by various State participants and begins with Yacht Rally Race from Australia to Banda. Several other key agendas such as the yacht rally and race by 107 sailboats from 22 countries around the world, game fishing, international diving tournament, international conference on small island, Indonesian-Australian conference cooperation, and international seminars.
Sail Banda 2010 maritime activities is centered in Maluku Islands and surrounding areas, namely Ternate, Banda and Ambon, by Dutch called the three golden from the east. This archipelago is one of the oldest provinces in the history of Indonesian independence, known as the Thousand Islands region as well as socio-cultural diversity and abundant natural wealth. Besides, the beauty of small islands and waters in Banda and Maluku island have the exotic scenery so can be one the world tourism destination countries like the Maldives, Malta and several countries in the Caribbean.
