Most people didn’t include marine tourism on Java Island into the count. Karimunjawa is an island located in Jepara regency which is also the only district in Central Java separated by the sea. Karimunjawa is an archipelago of 22 small islands with total area of land and sea amounted to 111.625 hectare with a population more than 8800 inhabitants. Of all the islands here most population live in five main islands, namely Karimun, Kemujan, Parang, Nyamuk, and Island Genting.

Various points can be used as a place for diving, such as the beaches on the island of Menjangan Besar, Menjangan Kecil, Geleang, Bengkoang, Parang, Kembar, Katang, Krakal Kecil, and Kumbang Island. In addition to coral reefs and mangrove forests, coastal areas of Karimunjawa Islands also enhanced with a vast expanse of seagrass beds. On land, forests also store a variety of wealth such as birds and mammals are protected. Here you will also find deer populations, long-tailed monkeys and birds, sea eagles and white chest.

Menjangan Besar Island is also enriched with the aquarium that resembles the sea, offering a diversity of fish contained in Karimunjaya. Karimunjawa itself has a National Park formerly known by the Karimun Nature Reserve. Coral reef in Karimunjawa National Park consists of several types like fringing reef, coral barrier reef and patch reef.
