The Gili Island Beach

One of the favorite tourist resorts in Lombok Island is the Gili Islands which located in the Gili Indah-village, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Indonesia. Gili—which contain of archipelagos—are one of most visited island in the West Lombok. Gili Trawangan is the largest island among the Gili islands. Trawangan is also the only Gili that has a significant height above sea. In this island you will find the largest Irish bar on the smallest island in the world.

For you who like the party will find a party all night, because that Gili Trawangan also called the party island. In this place you also can scuba diving, snorkeling (on the northeast coast), biking, and surfing. There are also several places where the tourists can learn to ride around the island.

On Gili Trawangan (as well in other Gili Island), there are no motor vehicles. A common means of transportation are bicycles (rented by locals to tourists) and Cidomo, a simple horse-drawn carriage common in Lombok. To travel to and from the third-Gili, people usually use boats and speedboat.

In addition, from here you can see the sunrise or sunset over Mount Rinjani, you also can see the beauty of natural color on the western horizon behind Mount Agung Bali’s.
