Taman Ayun Temple – One of Historical Place in Indonesia

Taman Ayun Temple in the ancient Balinese language meaning “The Temple in the middle of a beautiful garden.” This temple complex is the only temple complex of Bali that still has the characteristic terraced roof that can only be found in the structure of ancient buildings in Bali, called the Roof of Meru. This temple was built in the 16th century by King Mengwi (now the area where the Pura Taman Ayun is still named Mengwi), as a shrine to the gods of Balinese Hinduism. This temple including Cultural Heritage Sites included in the UNESCO list.

Tangkuban Perahu Crater

Mount Tangkuban Perahu located in Lembang, 30 km north of Bandung, the provincial capital of West Java, Indonesia. Actually, Tangkuban Perahu is an active volcano. Named by Tangkuban Perahu in Sundanese dialect, because Tangkuban Perahu shape resembles an upturned boat. There are interesting legends associated with this fascinating region.

One a time ago in west java there are Dayang Sumbi, a beautiful woman who cast away her son Sangkuriang for disobedience. Sangkuriang blessed eternal power by the god. After long time in exile, Sangkuriang decided to come back homes. Becase Sangkuriang grew up into a handsome man, so they don’t recognize each other. Unwittingly Sangkuriang fell in love with Dayang Sumbi and intend to marry.

Sulawesi island has a very strange shape. Shape strange probably caused by several tectonic movement. But behind the strangeness of the island of Sulawesi, there is remarkable diversity of the island, ranging from cultural, indigenous, and incredible natural scenery. Great sailors who were born from this island. Bugis, Minahasa is a very tough sailor.

Tana Toraja views, home to a people proud to be surrounded by majestic mountains on all sides. Volcanic scenery and fascinating field. However, the elaborate rituals of the Toraja’s death is something else. Cave tomb, tau tau (dead wood sculpture carving), a cult of buffalo, house
shaped like a boat and the dead are treated like living a visit here is to get out of this world.

Virescent rice terraces, pulse-pounding surf, enchating temple ceremonies, mesmerising  dance performances and ribbons of beaches are just some of the images people cherish.
