Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is located in the village of Yellow Temple (Candi Kuning), Baturiti District,Tabanan regency. Its distance from Denpasar town about 50 km to the north following the road Denpasar – Singaraja. Temple is located on the shores of Lake Beratan, its name taken from the lake in the name of the temple was founded Danu Beratan.

Ulun Danu Beratan complex consists of 4 temples, namely:Linga Temple Square, Mangu Penataran Dalem, Pura Terate Bang, and the Pura Dalem Purwa works to worship the glory of God in its manifestation as a god Tri Murti, in order to apply the gift of fertility, prosperity, human well-being and the universe.

This ceremony belong a big ceremony for hindu’s people.  The participants in Mulang Pekelem Ceremony are not only from Lombok, but it also from Bali, Java, and Borneo Island. This ceremony is reflection from Tri Hita Karana Concept. The concept is based on to give a holy sacrifice to nature purged of evil forces and humans can live in harmony with the surrounding nature. Many disasters that happened in Indonesia lately, makes Mulang Pekelem Ceremony is important to held.

Basicly Mulang Pekelem Ceremony is a long journey that will tiring, time-consuming, mind, and extraordinary energy.  Because for three days they would climb up Mount Rinjani to the Lake Segara Anak, which is believed to be the spiritual center in Sasak Land.
